Equipment Deliveries to a unoccupied summer home.
This a reqular problem. Comcast refuses to deliver equipement to any address other than your service address. We have a family home on the Jersey shore but it's seasonal. Our full time residence is outside of the Xfinity service area, 2.5+ hours away. At 6:11PM on the day that I had just closed the house for the season I received an email that I was being sent a new something, (router/modem/cable box) that had to be replaced by Oct 25 due to an encryption issue. Little did I know that it was being shipped the SAME DAY. Once I received notice that UPS was delivering it one day later, I contacted that wonderful chat support gang. After going through multiple agents, telling them no one would be at the address to accept and secure whatever they were sending I was assured that the shipment had been cancelled, which I seriously doubtful of. And, of course, that didn't happen, The delivery is on the front stoop, exposed to the weather.
If Comcast is smart enough to know that I subscribe to a seasonal plan during the winter, why can't they figure out I might be somewhere other than where they want to send me something, practically unannounced.

Thank you for reaching out to us @user_wtwiuk! We regret to hear a device was shipped the day you were leaving your summer home. UPS My Choice and FedEx Delivery Manager can both be used to change delivery date and reroute packages to an access point or store location. I completely understand how an unannounced same day package would be a surprise and difficult to reroute.
Could you please send our team a direct message with your full name and full address? Our team can most definitely take a further look at this issue. To send a "Direct Message" to Xfinity Support:
Click "Sign In" if necessary
Click the "Direct Messaging" icon or https://forums.xfinity.com/direct-messaging
Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon
The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person". Instead, type "Xfinity Support" there
- As you are typing a drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list
- An "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line
Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window
Press Enter to send it.
