Equipment delivered too early

I am a current xfinity customer. I reported that I'm going to be moving in a few weeks, but Xfinity sent out a new gateway/equipment to my new address immediately, rather than delaying the shipment. I have no way of reaching my new address early, and can't verify that the package is even still there. Will I be held responsible for the package being delivered too early and/or if it gets lost?

Hello @user_vyl8co Thanks for reaching out. In these cases if you told the agent you worked with the move in date, and they did not adjust the shipment then we would not hold you responsible at that point. But we will want to make sure to get you a new modem if it is not there upon your arrival.
