EPON Member-Owned Router - Need ONU Provisioning to Remove XER10
I have Xfinity residential EPON fiber with 2 Gbps symmetrical service, an ONU, and an XER10.
I want to use Xfinity's new Member-Owned Router option for EPON and connect my UniFi Cloud Gateway Max directly to the ONU.
I have already contacted Xfinity chat support. After about 45 minutes of chatting, including about 15 minutes just to get to someone who understood what I wanted. They are telling me an on-site technician is required to make the change, but I have seen other EPON customers here successfully have the ONU provisioned remotely for a customer-owned router.
Please have someone from the Xfinity who is familiar with EPON Member-Owned Router provisioning review my account and help determine whether this can be completed remotely and assuming it can, help me get it completed.
Desired configuration:
Xfinity ONU → UniFi Cloud Gateway Max
My Cloud Gateway Max has a 2.5 GbE WAN port and supports my speed tier.
Thanks in advance.
