I completely understand, and I sincerely apologize for the frustration @user_6wgo90. Having your show interrupted for 10 minutes, especially in the middle of a Friday afternoon is definitely not the experience we want for you.
To be transparent, Xfinity acts as a pass-through for these messages, we are legally required by the FCC to broadcast alerts exactly as they are issued by federal, state, or local authorities. We do not have the ability to edit the content, shorten the duration.
