Electrical service panel was replaced and cable and internet not working

My electrical service panel was replaced which meant a power outage of approximately 2 hours.  When power was back, it took 36 hours for my cable and internet to return.  Why?

It can/does depend on each unique situation, but we cannot begin our work until power to the area has been restored.

@XfinityMorgan There was no work for the cable / internet.  It was a simple replacement of my electrical panel.

@leapmc If the electric company was performing work in the area or on specific homes in the area we don't know what impact that may have had. Generally speaking, as long as the node in the area is powered and is able to broadcast signals to homes in the area, your services should remain reliable for you.

@XfinityBenjaminM I guess I did not explain the issue very well.  The power interruption was only at my house, nothing or no one else in the area was affected.  The electrical panel used to distribute power in my house was replaced.  The replacement took about 3 hours and when power was turn back on everything was fine except the cable and internet which came back on without intervention (at least on my part) 36 hours later, 4 hours before the comcast service person was to arrive.  I was wondering why it came back on so much later without intervention.

My apologies for the inconvenience this has caused you as we never intentionally cause long delays in repairs. At times unforeseen issues can occur which can extend restoral times. Rest assured our technicians work as quickly as they can when restoring any service impacting issues.
