I was a victim of a scam from a Comcast (Xfinity) phone number (800-266-2278).  I believed the call to be authentic because I was given a name and an ID number.  All communications used an Xfinity logo.  I was even given my own account number by the person calling me.  In the end I lost $5000.00 dollars worth of stock when the scammer gained access to my computer and sold my stocks and transferred the funds to BitCoin.  When calling Xfinity to report this, nothing was done.  They were not sympathetic.  There was no documentation of the incident.  They just washed their hands by saying it was not their number, which even today when you call the number I was called from states, "Hi, Thank you for calling Xfinity".  I have not received an email, a call, a letter, nothing regarding my incident.  Not even notifications to all customers was sent stating that there was a possible breach of customer info (even if it was just my account), others should have been put on alert.  I have been a customer for more than 10 years and nothing was done to show that my issue was of any concern.
