Hello forum members,
I wanted to share a concerning experience I recently had with Xfinity, particularly regarding their sales practices. [Edited: "Inflammatory"], and I believe it's important to make others aware.
I was approached by an Xfinity sales representative who claimed to offer a better plan at a lower cost. Excited about potential savings, I agreed to switch plans. However, what I wasn't informed about was that this "better" plan came at the cost of losing several channels.
Upon realizing the loss of channels, I contacted Xfinity to revert to my old plan, only to be told that my previous plan was no longer available. This feels like a bait-and-switch tactic, where customers are lured into changing plans without being fully informed about the consequences.
What's even more frustrating is the lack of support from customer service. I spent over 38 hours on the phone with them, trying to resolve the issue and revert to my original plan. Shockingly, they refused to forward me to a supervisor, no matter how many times I requested it.
It's disheartening to hear that salespeople might be pressured to resort to such schemes. If this is true, it not only harms customers but also puts undue stress on the sales team.
Has anyone else experienced similar issues with Xfinity? I would appreciate hearing your stories and any advice on how to navigate this situation.

cmotown1 This certainly isn't the experience we like to hear about for our customers. I would be happy to assist you in any way I can here when you have some time.

Can you send us a direct message with your full name, name of account holder (if different), and service address please?

To send a "Direct Message" to Xfinity Support:

Click "Sign In" if necessary

Click the "Direct Messaging" icon (speech bubble)

Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon

The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person". Instead, type "Xfinity Support" there

- As you are typing a drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list

- An "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line

Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window

Press Enter to send it
