Eclerx

I'm getting calls from Eclerx (on caller ID) saying they detected a problem with my home cable and want to send a Xfinity tech at no cost to check. I am having no issues with my cable service.  Is this legit ?

eClerx is a third-party group that does assist us with certain callbacks.

Always be cautious if asked to provide personal information over the phone or by email, especially if they claim to be Comcast/Xfinity. Keep in mind that we will never direct you to provide your user ID, password, or account number by phone, in an email, or at any linked site other than https://comca.st/3HGc82S.

You can also go to our Internet security alerts site for news, updates, Comcast security alerts, and top phishing scams, here -https://comca.st/34OvnJ7

With that said, I would be happy to take a look at your account and determine what they may be reaching out about. Could you please send our team a direct message with your full name and full address?

To send a "Peer to peer" message:

  • Click "Sign In" if necessary
  • Click the "Peer to peer chat" icon
  • Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon
  • Type "Xfinity Support" in the "To:" line and select "Xfinity Support" from the drop-down list which appears. The "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line
  • Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window
  • Press Enter to send it

Hey, Richard! I'm following up on the ticket that was opened on your account. It is a preventative ticket because an ingress issue was found. We know you don't have a service issue currently, but that can change if we don't get this addressed for you. What day and time would be convenient for you to send someone out to complete the ticket? We would need someone over 18 years old to be home, so we can have access to the inside. Please let us know.

Concern moved here to the Customer Service help section for greater exposure to actual Comcast corporate employees (The Digital Care Team) for assistance.

@EG getting calls from eclerx.  Who are they and What the hell are they selling?  They are a call center presumably in India and why does Xfinity allow them access to our data?  I recently asked for a service call from Xfinity.  Very concerning and I don’t like it at all.

Same here … the Indian company eClerx called twice [Edited: "Personal Information"] yesterday Thursday 8/4/22 - the second call was after 8PM.  I declined both calls wondering how they got through my scam software.  I had scheduled a service call earlier that afternoon due to lost of internet service.  Technician scheduled to arrive Saturday  - 2 days lost internet service .  Is this India company call center working with Comcast?
