Early Termination Fee for Moving to a Non-Comcast Market

Thank you for reaching out today and congrats on the new home. I understand that when moving you may not have a place that falls within the Comcast service area. When I was deciding on buying a house I had passed on homes that were not confirmed to be within the footprint but I had a bit of time to look around and it seems like you did not have that option with the information you already provided. 

With our term agreements, the customer approval includes the terms and conditions of an early termination fee. Each month you have the services the Early Termination Fee will reduce by $10. You would only be charged an Early Termination Fee if you were to disconnect your services within the term agreement. The agreement also includes that if you cancel Service because you move your residence to a location outside of a Comcast serviceable area, you will be charged the early termination fee for the remaining term of the Agreement and these fees are not waived due to a move. •    If you move to a Comcast serviceable area, and transfer service, you are not charged.
•    If you move to a Comcast serviceable area, and do not sign up for service, then the ETF would apply.
•    If you move to a non-Comcast serviceable area, then the ETF does apply.
•    If it is an active duty military deployment, then the ETF will be waived when you send documentation.
•    If the account holder is deceased, the ETF will be waived upon receiving a death certificate or obituary.
•    If you downgrade service, then the ETF will not apply.
•    If you have a Double/Triple Play and remove all but one service, then the ETF will not apply.
