Early Termination Fee for Moving to a Non-Comcast Market
The fact that anyone is moving during the cold, snowy winter and in the middle of a pandemic should be reason enough to waive the ETF!!!! I called to transfer my services to my new address but I discovered that Comcast doesn't service my new area. I chatted with 3 representatives, one of which was a supervisor, and all 3 said the $100 early termination fee could not be waived. Why am I being penalized for moving to an area that Comcast doesn't service (for whatever the reason); my new address is literally less than 4 miles from my previous service address? I actually wanted to keep my Comcast service!! When moving in an urgency, who stops to consider does Comcast Service my new address? My only concern was will this be a safe place for me and my children!!!

Thank you for reaching out today and congrats on the new home. I understand that when moving you may not have a place that falls within the Comcast service area. When I was deciding on buying a house I had passed on homes that were not confirmed to be within the footprint but I had a bit of time to look around and it seems like you did not have that option with the information you already provided.
With our term agreements, the customer approval includes the terms and conditions of an early termination fee. Each month you have the services the Early Termination Fee will reduce by $10. You would only be charged an Early Termination Fee if you were to disconnect your services within the term agreement. The agreement also includes that if you cancel Service because you move your residence to a location outside of a Comcast serviceable area, you will be charged the early termination fee for the remaining term of the Agreement and these fees are not waived due to a move. I would be happy to review the account and the estimated final billing statement. In order to get started can you please send me a private message with your full name and service address?
