DVR recording

I cannot record more than two programs at once, I get a conflict.  It is my understanding that I am supposed to be able to record up to 6 at once with the Cloud DVR program..

Can you fix this problem?

Hello @user_md00kw So sorry to hear that these scheduling conflict messages have been showing up. Have you looked over the list of your scheduled recordings to make sure that the 6-show limit is already being used/reached?

Scheduling conflicts: If you set up more than your maximum recordings that air at the same time, you may be presented with a conflict notification. You can choose to record your new program and cancel the lowest priority program or just cancel the new recording request. The recording should also display an icon in the guide or program information to indicate it will not record. You can always see what will record in your Scheduled Recording list under the Saved menu. Learn more about prioritizing recording on your X1 DVR.

I get a conflict if I have as few as three programs scheduled that have any time overlap. The lowest priority program gets cancelled.

OK, got it! Do you by chance have more than one DVR-capable device in the home? ( The main DVR is the biggest box, but our smaller HD cable boxes can also set recordings) that may have their recordings set at/around the same time? Typically adjusting these will help resolve the conflict issues. 

 

You do have the capability to set up to 6 recordings at a time, with the 20 hours of Cloud DVR storage. We can adjust/add to the amount of hours you have with those other plan options.

We have three boxes. The main box we use to set up recordings is the Xi6-A box. The other two are Xi5-P boxes, and I do not believe I have ever used these to set a recording. I also sometimes use the Xfinity website to set recordings, but no matter where the recording is set, all show up on the scheduled list.
