Drop Bury line

Hi,

We had our electrical lines buried in December. I called Xfinity, and they scheduled a tech to come bury our cable line, but no one ever came. We have a tube buried in place for the cable line and just need Xfinity to send a tech to run the line through it. Could someone please help? We can't move forward with building a deck until this is taken care of, as it would not be safe.

Thanks,

Anna

user_r83cpw Thank you for reaching out! We would be more than happy to get you pointed in the right direction. Just to clarify do you need a current exposed cable drop buried, or do you need your cable drop relocated due to your construction project?

The line is currently still in the air. We need it dropped and run through a conduit that was installed in December when the electrical company buried our electrical line. They buried a second conduit (that we provided) specifically for the Xfinity cable.

Not sure if my reply went through! We need a cable that is currently in the air dropped and run through a conduit. No relocation, just moving a cable from the air to the ground. This dedicated conduit for the cable was buried by the electrical company when they buried our electrical line in December.

user_r83cpw Ah, thank you for the additional information! This would definitely be considered a cable drop relocation, and not a standard cable bury request. A drop relocation survey will need to be scheduled for you which is normally a $100.00 fee. Please send us a direct message, so we can gather your location details, and have a survey scheduled for you.

Why is it a relocation instead of a standard request? They told me in December it would be free, but the person never showed, and I didn't have a phone number or email address to follow up. This is very frustrating. It's quite difficult to get in contact with your support team, and it's not my fault that your tech did not show when he was supposed to.
