Download speed does not change after internet plan upgrade

Question

Upgraded internet plan from 150 to 500Mbps a few days ago. My download speed is still capped at around 160Mbps. The same equipments were able to handle at least 800Mbps with Xfinity when I had a faster plan in the past. AI assistant is absolutly useless and thinks I currently have a 800Mbps plan.

It turns out the new 500Mbps plan I switch to is part of the Next-generation network, and my modem is not compatible with it. So my speed is left at 150Mbps. Picked up a Xfinity modem for free and download speed is 500+
