Do I still get unlimited data if I move my xfinity modem to bridge mode

Hi all,

I have my own network equipment and just want to use the XB7 modem/router/wifi device to bridge mode. The main reason I got the modem from Comcast is because I need the unlimited data plan and it was cheaper then adding that option to my plan. Otherwise I would have bought my own modem.

If I move the router to bridge mode, will I lose my unlimited data. I guess same question about the DMZ option.

Concern moved here to the Customer Service help section for greater exposure to Comcast corporate employees (The Digital Care Team) for assistance.

Hello, @WaldoTron

When Bridge Mode is enabled, you can access the Xfinity app to manage your account, but you won’t be able to use Xfinity xFi Complete and Wi-Fi Boost Pods features to manage and personalize your network. Learn the advantages of xFi. If you're a customer with xFi Advanced Security, you won't be able to access this feature if you choose to enable Bridge Mode on your gateway. One of xFi Completes features is the unlimited data plan. You can still purchase the Unlimited data plan option as a standalone feature for an additional cost of $30 per month.

So what about the DMZ? Will that have any effect on my unlimited data?

@WaldoTron This is a great question. If you're paying for unlimited it will stay.
