Distribution/Feeder buried line exposure after storm damage
Description of Issue: I am reporting a significant safety hazard and damage to the Xfinity main plant/infrastructure following a storm that occurred a couple of years ago. A utility pole down the street from my house was uprooted and replaced. During this process, the heavy-duty Hardline Coax (the thick distribution/feeder line, not a standard residential drop) was pulled up from the ground.
Current Status: The utility company has finished their work, but the Xfinity hardline remains exposed, surfacing from the ground near the public right-of-way. It is currently a tripping hazard and is vulnerable to further damage from yard maintenance or weather.
Technical Details:
Location: Greenville, KY (Muhlenberg County)
Issue Type: Exposed underground main plant / Hardline surfacing
Risk: Public safety hazard (tripping) and potential signal ingress/egress.
I have attempted to contact the Construction department, but the issue remains unresolved. I am looking for an escalation to the local Maintenance/Plant team to have this line properly re-buried to avoid a service outage or injury liability. Can an official employee please assist me in opening a formal Safety/Hazard ticket to get this line back underground? I've attached pictures of the damage.
Thanks in advance for any assistance you can provide.
