Distribution box at road got run over

The cable internet distribution box at the road got run over by an idiot who backed over it when trying to turn around. It cut the cable and so internet is out. Contacting customer support was a nightmare and I finally got a representative in another country who scheduled an appointment that days away. This is Comcast Xfinity's own distribution box at the road. Can they not fix it within a day? Do I have go days without my service and then miss work to meet a service technician for this?
