Disney+ doesn't work since Xfinity install

Hi, I had Xfinity internet installed yesterday. Since then, the Disney+ app on my fire stick doesn't work. It gives error 83 or error 42 upon opening the app or choosing an account. The Hulu app said I was changing my location when I first opened it after the Xfinity install so I think something about the change in service has messed with the Disney+ app.

I have Xfinity internet connected to a Motorola MB8611 32x8 DOCSIS 3.1 Cable Modem (listed as approved on the xfinity website), which is connected to an eero system for wifi.

I have ruled out everything else: I have cleared the Disney+ cache, restarted the app, deleted and reinstalled the app, restarted the fire stick, verified the internet connection (download speeds were over 100 MBPS), and turned the router off and on. Every other app works on the fire stick.

Customers with similar issues were told to contact  for help so hopefully there is a solution. https://forums.xfinity.com/conversations/your-home-network/disney-on-a-firestick-does-not-work/61ef381a2aa9b452b92a6fd5

Please let me know how to fix this or can you fix it from your end?

Thanks!

Hey there, @user_383d18

Did you try launching the app from a different device to see if your account works? If so, are you getting any issues with logging in that way as well? Our team is going to do our best to help you out by asking some questions to get the bigger picture of the issue. Thank you for your patience! We are here for you!

@XfinityMartinB Yes, it works on the same network from my laptop or on our other fire stick.

Thank you for trying you account on other devices. Unfortunately this would be beyond out demarc as we are your service provider and both the Disney+ app and fire stick would be 3rd party. I would recommend verify that both have the latest updates then if you need more assistance reach out to either Disney + https://comca.st/3Co1L3z or Amazon https://comca.st/3CqqowE;

That’s a terrible response. Pushing off to the providers to fix your connection issues… I’ll give you one. My peacock app hasn’t allowed me to stream on any devices connected to xfinity Xfi since Wednesday after you jacked up my prices and then decided to upgrade to faster speeds if I’m already paying that price…. So back to peacock…. Oh that’s owned by NBC, who is owned by Comcast….

Wait now what else does Comcast own…. Right, xfinity. Fix your [edited for language] before blaming others on why it won’t connect to your internet when it did on the day before you “upgraded” my services.

Good morning, @user_4b7906, and thank you for reaching out through our Community Forums page today regarding your Peacock app not working recently. There is a lot of great content built into Peacock, and I love the first access to movies and new series they keep adding all the time!

That said, please create a new thread for your topic for Peacock not working for you, as this thread was created for Disney + and Amazon, and our team would be more than happy to help!
