Disappointment Over Loss of NFL Network & RedZone — Considering Leaving Xfinity

I’ve been a loyal customer of for years, largely because of access to NFL Network and RedZone. Losing those channels is extremely disappointing and makes me question the value of staying.

This is a big part of why I’ve continued paying for your service, and without it, I’m seriously considering exploring other providers that offer what I actually watch. Xfinity should be doing more to keep their customers happy, especially when it comes to key channels like these.

I’m undecided whether to wait and see if this gets resolved, but it may be time for me to move on.

I also am very annoyed about Comcast cutting off the NFL Network channel. I will consider changing providers if this situation is not resolved. Comcast charges almost $300/month and they can certainly afford to have a channel on that a lot of people enjoy

If this dispute is not resolved by late July, I will be switching from Xfinity to someone that provides NFL Network, and RedZone

Losing the nfl network really blows! Why does xfinity keep raising my bill for then!? Seems like every other year, a channel gets eliminated, is it fare to still be paying more for less!? I'm about to switch to the dish !

We have been a customer for many years of comcast/xfinity. We have this particular plan specifically FOR the NFL network. Our bills continue to go up and fluctuate and we continues to be loyal customers. But that's definitely coming to a end if NFL network isnt added back.

I’ve been of this company since it was Barden (grew up with the Barden family) Cable Vision. Then it went to Comcast cable, then Comcast, now Xfinity. I’ve always appreciated the connection with the NFL coverage. If you would have announced it to the customers, we may have been able to help secure another deal. Please get a new deal for us🫡

@KevWalkSr I apologize for any inconvenience this situation has caused you. As an NFL fan I hope this is resolved by the first game.

In the meantime NFL coverage is available on FS1 (Fox Sports 1) with The Herd with Colin Cowherd, and with shows like Sports Center on ESPN or ESPN2. Xfinity TV customers who have ESPN as part of their TV package have access to the ESPN Unlimited tier of the ESPN app as part of their service (activation may be required).

In addition, Comcast offers a range of similar, alternative content. Free streaming services, like Xumo Play, Pluto TV, and others, offer a wide variety of sports and entertainment programming.

Also, paid subscription streaming services, like Hulu, Netflix, and Amazon Prime Video, offer TV shows, sports, movies, documentaries, original content, and more.

@XfinityKei thank you for your reply, those are a lot of alternatives.  The problem is I like a show called good morning football, I have watched it since it’s inception five years ago.  many people watch the today show or good morning America. I prefer good morning football.  It’s not on the ESPN, it’s on NFL network.  ESPN does not have a channel that’s football all the time, They cover many sports.  I’m not interested in many sports, I’m interested in football.

It feels like just another service taken away with no relief To billing.  A few years ago they took away the remote app where I could sit in bed and change the channel on any TV in the house,  It was easier for me and my arthritis to control than the fancy remote and the guide was easier to read when it was on my tablet, which is much closer than my television.

Many of us subscribe to every service that Xfinity offers, me included. And some of us are currently looking for alternative programming, and another way to have the services provided at less cost, and more options..  Also me included.

I don’t want to pay for another subscription service to be able to watch football.  I pay enough for Xfinity that I should have access to every streaming service on the planet!  It just feels like things keep getting taken away, but the bill keeps increasing. I used to like the convenience of Xfinity. There are many features that I enjoy, but I am more than willing to give them up if I can pay less and get the services that I enjoy including NFL network and NFL Redzone.  I feel likethe things that I enjoy are being taken away anyway.

Well stated Charly1823.  I have been saying for years "Cable TV" should have a la carte services.  Only pay for the channels you want.  Why am I paying for 18 spanish-speaking channels when I don't speak Spanish?  Why am I paying for kids channels I never watch?  Pay for channels you watch, and when they can't be delivered due to negotiations, you don't pay for them.  Oh that's right, then Comcast can't make billions of dollars every quarter.

Hello @user_sxmvoi we're always looking for ways to improve as a company and appreciate the feedback of where we can implement changes to make a better TV experience regarding the choosing channels you'd like as part of your line-up and will pass that along to our corporate leadership.

Please know Comcast pays programmers to bring you the entertainment you love, and, so far, Disney/ESPN has not proposed a deal that Comcast believes is fair for its customers. Comcast continues to work toward bringing back this programming, but only with fair pricing, terms, and conditions for its customers.

I know unexpected changes to your TV lineup can be inconvenient. Thank you for understanding. For more information, you can visit xfinity.com/programmingchanges.

@XfinityJustinC can you tell me why the contract wasn’t renegotiated prior to it causing this kind of inconvenience to your customers?  The pricing for the customer should not be the issue, you can’t tell me that Comcast doesn’t make enough money to cover the cost themselves and offered the same grade pricing to their customers, which honestly isn’t so great.
