Disappointed. Such a let down. Don’t get a pro install
We had a pro installation done with three cameras. Two of the cameras were going in the front of our house. We wanted one on top of our deck, and one below our deck in the patio section, which are both in the front of our house. We live in a historical area and are not allowed to do certain things to the house. The installer took it upon himself to drill in two very bad locations in the front of the house, rather than drilling on the side of the house and running the wires around to the side of the house like our coax cables were already ran previously by Xfinity, he drilled directly in front of the house and exposed wires on both parts of the house. Instead of running the wires like a professional, he ran the wires in almost an L shape, or a Z shape rather and he didn’t even run the remainder up the side of the trim, which looks awful and so unprofessional. The second camera, he drilled a hole in the middle of the shingles rather than on the groove and also did not hide the wires in the groove and trim, but rather another square pattern to get to the camera in front of the house rather than going on the side. When we were told that the reason why we couldn’t extend the wires was because if we did, we would have to add a large black box, which would be even more noticeable, when really all we needed was a coupler and another wire. We were stuck with the way that the installer placed the wires and now the front of our house looks awful. It’s extremely disappointing and unprofessional. Clearly, Xfinity does not have trained professionals installing these cameras or they’re looking to take short cuts to avoid running wires neatly as they should be doing. I want this problem, resolved as I will probably have to hire a professional to fix this problem, and also fix the holes that were drilled in unnecessary locations because we were told incorrect information. Also, my wife was taken advantage of because she does not know about wiring systems and unfortunately I was not home at the timeComcast please fix this problem Xfinity please fix this problem. This is not how any installation should be done. Thank you.
