Dirty Used Modem from Xfinity

Someone want to explain why I was mailed a dirty used modem from Xfinity.  I came in contact with a gross unknown black substance. Xfinity responded with an offer to receive a new modem at a $15 charge.  This is ridiculous.

Thank you for reaching out @user_stda13. We sincerely apologize for the unacceptable experience you had with the equipment you received. That is not the standard we hold for our equipment or the service we provide.

If you could send our team a direct message with your full name, the name listed on the account (if different), and the service address associated with your account, I'd be more than happy to look into this for you.

To send a "Direct Message" to Xfinity Support:

Click "Sign In" if necessary

Click the "Direct Messaging" icon or https://forums.xfinity.com/direct-messaging

Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon

The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person". Instead, type "Xfinity Support" there

- As you are typing a drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list

- An "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line

Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window

Press Enter to send it.

I would like for Xfinity to arrange to have the unknown black substance tested so I know what I was exposed to.

Nah, Xfinity supports response at one point was to mail me replacement equipment and charge me $15 to do so.  It really looks like this is a common enough issue with Xfinity from the other posts I have seen.  Please give me a direct number of someone I can speak with.  Please not the general number for Xfinity.

@user_stda13 We are a corporate team that communicates over social media, and Forums. We do want to do our best to assist you in public, but for your security to keep your personal information protected we'd need you to send a direct message. Unfortunately we wouldn't have a direct number for you to contact other than the general Xfinity Customer Support number.
