Did Xfinity tell you your phone would be free?

I was told this and now I want out of their unreliable mobile service but found out we would be stuck paying for the phone that they said was free. The phone my hubby had was not compatible. We would have gladly bought a compatible phone. Xfinity can be so deceptive. This is not my first time be taken advantage of by them.
