Demo phone
I have bought a Moto Edge 2025 from Amazon. The phone is limited, for example I cannot login with my own google account, I cannot tune the volume, bluetooth, DND, or set the phone in debug mode. Everything is failing with the message "limited by work policy".
Upon attempting to remove the "work account" from the phone, i get the error "limited by work policy".
Upon complaining, Amazon said to contact the manufacturer, which is apparently Xfinity.
I have contacted the Motorola/Lenovo support, they told me that the phone is a Xfinity demo. On the other hand, I have learned Motorola gives me 200 days warranty, but they directed me to Xfinity.
I have contacted the company claiming they control the phone - MPC Solutions and I have an active ticket on the issue, but yet no solution.
Any similar experience? Is there a way to remove the "Work account" setting, which apparently survives the firmware reset.
On the other hand, the phone is not locked, it worked with an eSIM for AT&T network.

Hello @user_hfna2v This is certainly a unique situation. The only similar situation we run into is when stolen blacklisted phones are resold on Amazon or similar reseller sites. Usually we cannot remove blocks or phones from the blacklisted devices. But since this is being said it was used as a demo phone we can certainly try escalating it if the current ticket is not the proper escalation. To send a "Direct Message" to Xfinity Support:
Click "Sign In" if necessary
Click the "Direct Messaging" icon or https://forums.xfinity.com/direct-messaging
Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon
The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person". Instead, type "Xfinity Support" there
- As you are typing a drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list
- An "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line
Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window
Press Enter to send it.
