Deceased subscriber email.

My son had passed away in the beginning of September and I canceled his comcast service on 09/23/2020,.  Unfortunately the CSR didn't do that, and as a result had an additional month of charges.  I had to go in again to take care of that.  My question is Is his email still active?  As a test, I sent one and it hasn't bounced back.  Is there any way to disable it? Or better yet, if it's still active, can I as his personal representative have access?
