Deceased customer's X1 system

My mother passed away last March and after going through her things again, I discovered I have her X1 system in my attic. I would like to know what the process is for turning over the equipment. My mother did have an outstanding balance on her account but, as there was no estate, the balance remain unpaid. If I take the equipment to a local xfinity store, will I be responsible for settling the balance?

Hello @not_my_stuff We are truly sorry to hear about your mother. On behalf of Comcast please accept our condolences. You can take the equipment that you have found to your local service center. You can locate your closest center by visiting https://comca.st/3KcZV7w As for the balance on the account, the balance my be caused by the unreturned equipment and the account would be adjusted for the equipment being returned.
