Debt Collections

I have been getting threats from debt collectors the last YEAR. Comcast has said MULTIPLE TIMES they will remove the payment. It was a payment I did not owe. A payment they owed me, actually. Months have gone by and I am STILL BEING CONTACTED FROM DEBT COLLECTORS. Comcast needs to fix this immediately. I am at my wits end. I have given patience, but this is an astronomical mess up.

You will have to contact the credit bureaus to fight the collection. They'll never remove it. They don't care. If it went to collections they have sold the debt anyway.

@user_mymp1d we do have options to have the collections report reviewed. If it is paid, it is reported as paid but not removed. But the scenario the OP is referring to was due to an error, we could definitely open a ticket for the review in the scenario outlined.
