I have Xfinity Complete. the gateway is in the basement and I am experiencing bad reception and dead spots in the bedrooms upstairs. Can I get a couple of Xfi pods to help with this?

Concern moved here to the Customer Service help section for greater exposure to Comcast corporate employees (The Digital Care Team) for assistance.

Hi there @user_taq5f8 Thank you so much for reaching out on our Xfinity Community Forum about adding Wifi Extenders.  I'll be happy to assist. If you have rooms in your home with poor WiFi connectivity due to a weak or inconsistent WiFi signal, Xfinity WiFi Extenders may be a good solution. Xfinity WiFi Extenders help extend the range of WiFi coverage in your home to hard-to-reach areas or areas with poor WiFi signals. They are not intended to provide the maximum speed of your internet speed tier throughout your home. Please click the link below to purchase.

I'm not sure I understand. Shouldn't purchasing Xfinity sevice supposed to provide me with internet service throughout my home without additional purchases? otherwise what was the point of  having the service?

Dead spots in a home are caused by Wi-Fi signals being blocked, absorbed, or interfered with, primarily due to physical obstructions (walls, metal appliances), poor router placement, or distance from the router.  Have you considered moving your router closer to the area where you're experiencing those problems?

Agreed, I would do that , but pour service comes into the basement and the remaining existing cable  upstairs was removed by the previous owner

user_taq5f8, Do you have the power cord from the back of the modem connected directly to a wall outlet or a power strip?
