Deactivate old cable modem?

Hi, I've upgraded my cable modem and would like to deactive the old one on my account. How can I do this?

Hello xfin_0427 we're glad to hear you've upgraded your modem! To activate your new equipment, please follow the steps below for the Xfinity App. Once this is done, the old equipment is automatically deactivated and can be returned to either a Xfinity Retail Center or UPS.
