user_hmgn3d thank you for using the Xfinity Community Forums page. This is an excellent question, so if you are connected to any wireless network, your data would come from said network as long as you remain connected. There are some special niche cases where data could still be used, such as the Wi-Fi assist feature on an iPhone for example.
