Data Usage
Now that I am streaming my Xfinity cable tv (not via cable box), does the data usage count against my internet monthly data allowed (1229gb)?

Hello, @user_11501a! Thanks for reaching out over the best digital platform ever to contact XFINITY and for patiently waiting for a response. We are the perfect team of experts who can help with [XFINITY data usage](https://comca.st/3D0r4ad?) concerns such as this! With how critical connecting to the internet is today, I can understand how important it is to find out what counts towards your data.
All data usage delivered over your home Xfinity Internet service, both downloaded and uploaded, is counted towards your data plan, regardless of the source. For example, all Internet-based video streaming and download services, including Internet-delivered programming available through the XFINITY stream web portal and Xfinity apps, is included in the calculation of monthly usage. Xfinity TV and Xfinity Voice services that are not delivered over the Internet and are not received by you using your Xfinity Internet service do not count.
There are 4 great ways to track data usage. One is by signing in to the Usage Meter page under the My Account section at our webportal. The second way is if you have our X1 platform and by saying Monthy Data Usage into your X1 Voice remote control which is my favorite! The other two ways are through the XFINITY My Account app and the XFINITY xFi app.
