Data usage spikes

Data usage... I'm guessing that if you have Xfinity wifi which makes you an "Xfinity Hot Spot" others are using your/my data. Seriously, they get free wifi by using yours. I guess Xfinity found a way to get paid.

@user_vxrrhn   We want you to understand the free Xfinity Hotspot feature so you can enjoy it without worry. See the details here xfinity.com/support/articles/xfinity-wifi-hotspots, such as it providing a separate network, and helping customers use less data in their home. Friends or family that also have Xfinity, can use that network instead of asking for your password/using your data when they visit. I'd rather have them log onto the secure hotspot, and that's a feature I love.

user_vxrrhn, Only data usage delivered over your home Xfinity Internet service will be counted towards your 1.2 TB threshold. Are you noticing any usage that isn't coming from known devices on your network?
