Damaged siding

Today Comcast buried my wire but also went on my roof for no apparent reason. While on the roof they damaged two pieces of vinyl siding by pulling it off. It later flew off when a breeze hit it.   Waiting to see what they're going to do.  Don't understand why they went on the roof to begin with though!
