Daily internet downtime

I’ve been having a consistent problem with internet going down every evening, very near

11pm. These outages usually last 5-10 minutes. Yesterday was also a bigger outage earlier in the evening. It is definitely not a home wifi issue. The cable modem shows the incoming internet connection is down. Can any diagnostics be performed? Do I need a service appointment?

user_e3125v Service interruptions are never a good experience for our customers, and we can help. Once you're in a service interruption, then our repair team is alerted of this, and will do the work needed to get it resolved. If service is currently working great now, then there may not be much to look into, but we can still check on our end. To send a direct message, please click on the chat icon in the top-right corner of the screen, and select "Xfinity Support" to initiate a Direct Message. 
Click "Sign In" if necessary
Click the "direct messaging" icon or https://forums.xfinity.com/direct-messaging
Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon
Type "Xfinity Support" in the "To:" line and select "Xfinity Support" from the drop-down list which appears. The "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line
Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window
Press Enter to send it
