i am looking for the current password for my gateway.   not the Wifi PASSWORD

To get your gateway password, you can check the label on the side or bottom of your Xfinity Gateway, which typically displays the default WiFi network name and password. If you have forgotten your password and cannot access the Admin Tool, you can reset your gateway to factory settings by unplugging it, pressing and holding the Reset button for at least 15 seconds, and then plugging it back in. After the reset, log in using the password on the gateway's label.

I need a live human being to assist ..  spent far to long with the " xfinity assistant "  and got NO WHERE ..  again   frustrating

@user_5715a3 We will stick with you here until you confirm that all your questions and concerns have been fully addressed :). The default username for the Xfinity Admin Tool is "admin", and the default password is "password" (case-sensitive). If you've previously changed these credentials, you'll need to use your new username and password to access the Admin Tool. If you've forgotten your changed password, you'll need to reset the modem to factory default settings by holding the reset button on the back of the gateway for 30 seconds.
