I have been a loyal Xfinity/ Comcast customer for over 30 yrs - until now...
My service included Gigabit Extra Internet, Ultimate TV, and Xfinity voice. My contract was about $230/ month. Now out of contract, the price was going up to $258/ month - with no change or enhancement to any of my services. I spoke with the retention dept multiple times and was told they had no way to maintain the current rate (actually involved the word "inflation"), and they suggested I go online to try myself and see if I could make a change to maintain or lower the monthly rate. I simply dropped the Xfinity Voice and added Xfinity Voice Premier, and the package total dropped to $215.04/ month - I was pleased and decided to remain a customer.
That was two days ago..I checked this morning and the new rate is showing as $273, so I called retention again and was told they would not honor the confirmed change. Time to cut the cable and switch.
If there is a shred of customer service remaining at Xfinity, I would be receptive to another conversation before you lose me altogether...
