Customer service review

A technician came to my house yesterday for a planned service call. He did not announce himself on arrival. He went into my yard, where my dogs were, through a gate that was broken and should not have been used. He proceed replacing equipment without telling me what he was doing. He disconnected my internet without telling me, so I had no way to finish what I was doing before internet dropped. When my son told me he was here, I went outside to talk to him. In his broken English he tried explaining to me what he was doing. However, in the time since I scheduled the service call I realized I was having a software issue with the Xfinity app, not a hardware issue. He said that’s a different department and couldn’t help me. But he kept replacing my equipment. And resetting my router. I tried calling customer service, but the AI kept hanging up on me because my router was in the middle of rebooting. It said to call back after my router was running again, but the stupid technician kept rebooting the router. There was no one to talk to. Meanwhile, my dogs never settled down from the stranger entering our yard. My son ended up taking the dogs to our car to get them to settle down. The whole experience was extremely upsetting. I understand he “upgraded” our equipment for free. But he did not make my problem right. This is a huge training opportunity for Xfinity, and there is no one but AI to notify. Terrible customer service!!!!!!!! I want to leave my contact info on this post. [Edited: "Personal Information"]. But I am sure no one at Xfinity will ever read this complaint.
