customer service responses

You all have an outage in my area. You gave no notification. I have used my hotspot so I can work from home. I called to have access on my computer with my hotspot and the operator for over 30 minutes after I got her on the line kept me on hold and did not resolve the problem. I explained that when you use your hotspot, you can't live stream; however, the internet suggests another way, and I asked if she could walk me through it. I said this many times and then she finally concluded it couldn't be done. She transferred me to a supervisor and I am now on 90 minutes on the phone. This is not acceptable and I want credit for this outage and having to use my hotspot.  I actually was suppose to go with AT&T and my service date was today but because my son, the doctor, is in town and using internet for telemed I postponed the switch. My regret. You are loosing me as a customer.

user_62hf3v Thank you for stopping in and sharing your experience during the recent interruption in your area. Hotspots are a great option for a temporary connection, and there are different ones out there; some have more limitations than others, but most do not specifically prohibit live streaming. The success would come with the available upload and download speeds and network connection. We do have more reliable backup options like our Xfinity Pro that uses cellular backup to help when unplanned interruptions happen.
As much as we try to let you all know when the network will be down, sometimes there are factors outside of our control that can impact our network and your services. You can always apply for a credit for any time without service. You can check out how to use the Xfinity assistant here.
We never want you waiting around for us when you can get your credit once service is restored and go.

Have your services been restored?
