Customer service phone number down

Are the customer service phone numbers down. I called and when it gets to the verify my account part, all I hear is static and it has been static for several minutes.

I have called several times and it is not working, is there a different number or way I can speak with someone, I need to update a payment arrangement and what I need to confirm cannot be done with the Xfinity assistant bot
