Customer Service Incompetence
Switched plans to 1 gig internet, streaming and 2 yrs free peacock. I specifically asked the customer service person if all I had to do was turn the TV on to make it work. She said yes. WRONG! Was watching TV, screen went black and said "something is not quite right. Call xfinity." And there was a error code XRE 00250. Called xfinity, and spoke to THREE customer service people trying to get an answer. The third guy kept telling me to use the remote that came with the TV to look for the xfinity stream app and there was no such app there. He kept saying every tv is different. After over an hour on the phone, I finally got upset and told him to switch me back to my original plan. After I got off the phone, I kept looking for the xfinity stream app and finally found it under apps on the XFINITY REMOTE, not the TV remote like that guy kept saying! He was WRONG! If you're going to offer that plan with 1 gig internet, streaming and peacock, TRAIN YOUR CUSTOMER SERVICE PEOPLE ON HOW IT WORKS SO CUSTOMERS CAN BE INFORMED CORRECTLY! I am older, chronically ill and disabled and all this nonsense spiked my blood pressure!

Thanks for taking the time to post on our community forums, user_we4d8y. I'm sorry you had a difficult time finding guidance to accessing the program you were looking for, but I'm glad to hear you were able to track it down! Has everything been working properly since you found the app?
