Customer Service Agents

Are they trained to hang up on you if they can’t help you? Today I was hung up on by two agents and when I told a third that, he said “Of course they hung up on you. They couldn’t help you.” And when I asked for a supervisor I was told multiple different reason why I couldn’t and was refused the ability to talk to one.
