Customer Retention is a joke
I see there is a plan now for new customers of $50/month for 5 years for 1gig internet, equipment included and no data caps. I am rather upset that as a long time Xfinity customer, that this option is not available to me and I have to pay $300 more a year for less.
I called to get this deal and was basically told only for new customers, [Edited: "Language"] you. The rep and "supervisor" both tried to tell me that was the original option I was signed on with when I know for a fact it is not but what would I know I'm only the one paying for the "service".
You would think with the different providers available now, Xfinity would want to keep their long time customers but I guess that is no longer the way of Corporate America.
And I don't need to know the available option for my account as they are worse than what I have now for speed.

Hello user_ph1irc, While that $50 deal is an introductory offer, we do have some savings opportunities for existing customers as well in most cases. But we would need to see what is currently in the plan to give you more specifics. Based on your price I assume this is a bundle with TV involved. We did just launch some new TV plans that can help with bundle pricing. I know you spoke with customer service already but we would love the opportunity to review the account in more detail and make sure they did not overlook a better deal for you. If you'd like to do that please send us a direct message with your full name and service address to get started.
To send a "Direct Message" to Xfinity Support:
Click "Sign In" if necessary
Click the "Direct Messaging" icon or https://forums.xfinity.com/direct-messaging
Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon
The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person". Instead, type "Xfinity Support" there
- As you are typing a drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list
- An "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line
Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window
Press Enter to send it.
