Current plan price increase

I have been an XFinity customer for a while now paying $70 per month for my internet plan. My bill just increased to $130?!

Xfinity is currently advertising 1 Gig service for $70 per month in my area.

I would prefer to remain an Xfinity customer, but I’m not willing to pay $130 for the same service. Could someone please check all available Customer Solutions, loyalty, and retention offers on my account?

user_mhyqtg Thank you so much for stopping in for help with your promotion ending. New customer offers are great deals, and if you are not logged in when you see the $70.00, that is probably what you are seeing. When you first set up services, I am sure you also got a great deal, and all promotions do come to an end, even our new 5-year options. I always recommend starting by checking the current offer when logged in on our repackage page. Since you are a current customer, you would not qualify for that offer, but there may be a similar offer available when logged in.

Our offers do tend to mirror those, but we are always happy to double-check for you. Let me know if you do not find anything that fits your needs.

Is there a way to bring back the $70 a month plan I have had since becoming an XFinity customer? I don't think paying almost double for something that's advertised at $70 is great. Other providers also have "great deals".

user_mhyqtg Our offers do change all the time, but unless a similar offer is shown in the repackage option, it would not be available. Since you are renewing your offer, it would still have to be for an offer available for current customers, not a new customer exclusive. We can only extended/renew existing offers if your account is eligible with the pre-loaded offer, since we are not able to modify plans or add additional discounts on top of a promotional price. Since our options do change all the time and there are no contracts with any of our offers, you can repackage at any time if a better offer does become available.

This is the most unhelpful response Xfinity team. How can you treat a loyal customer like this and not offer them the same offers you’re giving new customers? It is honestly mind blowing. Just give the guy the deal he had and lock him in for another 5 years. It’s not that difficult.

This has actually helped me see that other providers in my area have more speed (5-10 gigs) for less than what I was paying in my current plan with Xfinity. I'm not even going to bother with them. You lost a customer that was willing to stay for a long long time.

@user_mhyqtg I need to do the same and research a better option with a different company. I’m over this, loyalty doesn’t get us anywhere with Xfinity. Share where you end up switching to, I’m right behind you.
