contracts
price changes to 2 year contracts. I just entered my 3rd 2 year contract with xfinity. For the prior 2 contracts, the price stayed the same for the duration of the contract. This time I received a 5% increase just 3 months into the contract. I did a session online and was told that I am still locked into the 2 year contract, but xfinity can still raise the price whenever they feel like it. Is this a common issue? Is the 2 year contract a bait and switch deal now?

Concern moved here to the Customer Service help section for greater exposure to Comcast corporate employees (The Digital Care Team) for assistance.

Great question thanks for reaching out to us as a customer myself I'm always concerned with my billing is more than I expected. What's guaranteed to not change is your promotional discount but equipment taxes and fees are always subject to change
. Generally every year around the first of the year there are changes made to our services that could increase the bills or could lower the cost.
We do send out notifications on the upcoming changes that you will see for the next year on your November and December bill https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/viewing-your-bill-online-ecobill.
The link I provided is a great link on how to view your kast 12- 24 months of billing.
What I do recommend is go look at the last couple of Billings to see what changes have occurred and also look at your November or December statement and scroll to the last page where it lists information about the upcoming changes.
