Contractors for Xfinity botching installations

I recently moved to a new construction townhome. Prior to receiving service they have to run cable from the terminal box at the end of my building through conduit that runs into my garage. The contractor they sent to run the cable (not an Xfinity employee) didn't come prepared with the right tools. He tried unsuccessfully to run the cable by itself, without the aid of a fish line or pull string. Then I learned he used a hose to fill the conduit with water, which ended up spilling a great deal of water into my wall behind my drywall. When I found out what he was doing I told him to stop. He said he was leaving to get the right tools and promised to return, but never did.

Xfinity messaged me saying that my cable was successfully run, so I did a live chat to let them know the install was unsuccessful. They told me they would add notes so that the second contractor coming to connect my Internet would know he needed to be prepared to run the cable. Today he came and said he can't run the cable, so xfinity would need to schedule someone else to finish what the first guy botched, then i'd need to schedule again for another tech to do the Internet installation.

I've been waiting almost two weeks to get Internet, now because of an unprofessional contractor I'll probably have to wait another two weeks. Another neighbor had a similar situation, except that Xfinity contractor cut some big holes in his drywall, and at the end left without completing the job. That doesn't sound like a one off. Xfinity has ultimate responsibility over who they send into customer's homes. Allowing them to cause needless service delays and, worse yet, damage to homes is a sure way to send potential customers into competitors arms.

I would like someone from Xfinity to please contact me to let me know how to reschedule my appointments, and also to make a complaint about damage to my wall. Thank you!

Concern moved here to the Customer Service help section for greater exposure to Comcast corporate employees (The Digital Care Team) for assistance.
