contract canceled
ON 7/12/2024 we agreed to a contract for one year that has all of what we currently have for $260.27. Two days later we had streaming issues and called customer service. During that time it was decided that we needed someone to come out, but in mean time they setup to have a new main TV box sent out in case that was the problem. Someone came out and said that they needed to bury the cable from the outside power pole to our house (they have been saying this for over 5 years) so they set up to have the cable buried. At some point during a call from Xfinity we decided that we do not need the main TV box replaced so they canceled the work order. Several days after we got the new main box in the mail (we thought it was stopped) as it turns out the person that was suppose to cancel the work order for the main TV box canceled our new contract work order (we did not know they needed to create a work order for a new contract no one said anything about that). Now the fun starts, while having to return the main tv box (that they sent the wrong box and caused several trips to the Xfinity store to get that fixed) we found out that our next bill was going to be over $400 that included a $100 charge for a tech visit. After chatting and talking to about 10 different people that all wanted to give us a new contract for a lot more money $29x.xx per month, we did manage to get them to cancel the $100 and they gave us a $10 and $20 credit for all of the hassle we were going through). The last person we talked to was able to give us an idea of what happened her name is Debra and was the most help but still put in a escalation (#ECM0008681739) to have her boss get back to us over a week later he or she still has not got back to us (this is at least the second time this has happened).No one wants to give us the contract that we agreed to for $260.27 per month. Now this was not our fault unless you want to say that we had a Tech problem that caused all of this????? We have spent many hours trying to get a deal that Xfinity canceled back but they do not want to honor it and tell us this offer is no longer Available. How is this right, Xfinity caused our contract to be canceled, so now our monthly bill is going to be over $310, that is over $600 per year more all because of Tech issue?
