Contact live agent

My aunts house number is associated with her account. I want to change that number but can’t access anyone to do so

Hello, @user_4dlpky! Thank you for your post! To make sure I am understanding you correctly, are you trying to help her change her home phone number, or just the contact information associated with her account? Also, are you listed on the account as a Manager?

@XfinityTony we have two separate accounts. One for my home and one for hers. Her house number which can’t receive texts is the number on the account. We want to change that number to her mobile number

@user_4dlpky has she created an Xfinity ID? If so, she will be able to add a mobile number and then verify it via code. If she did and cannot remember it, we have a lookup tool available as well. If she has not created an Xfinity ID, she will need to do so at xfinity.com/getstarted before a verified mobile number can be set up.

That’s the issue. When we go to create an xfinity ID, the number it sends the code to can’t receive text messages. Can they call instead to get the code or is it only through text ?

@user_4dlpky, if it is already trying to send a text, then it sounds like there is already an Xfinity ID associated with the account. In that case, your aunt will need to attempt to reset her password while connected to her in-home Wi-Fi. If that doesn't work, she'll need to call 1-800-XFINITY and get transferred to our Customer Security Assurance (CSA) Password team.
