contact customer service about outage
Work from home -- have had no service today -- that includes no landline for work and/or personal use.
We live in an area with unreliable cell phone service, so we depend on our landline.
There is no way to contact customer service -- the chat feature runs in circles & signing up for text alerts doesn't work for status updates
We pay a ridiculous sum for a service that is spotty with no customer support -- anyone else tired of this?

Concern moved here to the Customer Service help section for greater exposure to Comcast corporate employees (The Digital Care Team) for assistance.

Hello @Bumkitty. We appreciate you for taking the time out of your day to share your experience. As someone who also relies on the internet for work, I can understand how frustrating this must be. During a service interruption, unfortunately, when calling in, there is no troubleshooting that we can do remotely that will fix the interruption. However, you can contact us on our social media channels (here, Facebook, Twitter, or Reddit), where we can provide updates, enroll you in text notifications, and follow up to ensure your services are working once the interruption is resolved. You can also stay updated by following the steps here: https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/check-service-outage.
Have your services been restored yet? If not, I'd be happy to check for updates. I would also like to review your account to see if we have any promotions that may help lower your rate. If interested, please send a direct message with your name and service address to "Xfinity Support" by clicking on the "Direct Messaging" chat icon in the top right corner of the page, then click on the pen and pad icon and enter "Xfinity Support" in the "To" section of the chat.
