Construction

I am in a new build and planned my move around when services would be available.  We are moving in this weekend and I work from home.  The home is pre-wired for cable but the technician had trouble finding the line that comes from the street.  He advised construction was needed.  That's fine except it's two weeks away.  What options do I have?
