Construction
Is there anyway to get a phone number for the comcast construction department? Their level of customer service does not match that of other departments.
I was originally told my new build could get xfinity service; however, after paying for the technician to install service and meeting them out here, I was told that the mainline was too far from my house and a construction ticket was needed. It's clear that the service team does not know how to work with or communicate with the construction department. After who knows how many hours on the phone with various departments/people, I finally was told that construction could do the work. Multiple tickets were opened and then closed for no reason.
I had to pay ~$1,200.00 for them to do the work (and was told it could be more). I paid the money and I've now been waiting for several months with for construction to bring an aerial mainline node 280 feet closer to my house. Construction provides you with an email address for an assigned "point of contact;" however, they do not provide a telephone number. I have asked for status updates twice. After the first time, my point of contact replied back to my email 6 days later saying that he did not have any updates. I waited another month and sent another email asking for an update, for which I have not received a response.
The only way to talk to someone is to call the main phone number, go through a million robotic prompts until you get an agent to talk with, and then unfortunately they don't have any information because construction does not communicate with them either.
If you're going to take a customer's money and assign a "point of contact" - you should actually be able to contact this person and/or provide regular status updates.
