Consistently horrible and unreliable service

I have been an Xfinity customer for years, but the reliability and customer service in my neighborhood have become absolutely unacceptable.

In just the past three months, we have experienced at least six outages—and possibly more. Even worse, when Xfinity restores service after an outage, my service often does not actually work. I then have to schedule a technician to come to my home to fix what was working perfectly well before the outage.

Yesterday was yet another example. A storm caused an outage, and it took approximately four hours for Xfinity to restore service to the area. However, once the outage was supposedly resolved, I still had no internet and no TV.

I contacted Xfinity numerous times, first having to fight my way through an incredibly frustrating and outdated automated support system just to reach meaningful assistance. I went through every reset, reboot, signal push, and troubleshooting step they requested. After wasting considerable time doing all of this, I was ultimately told—once again—that a technician would have to come to my home.

And the earliest appointment? Five days away.

So after repeated outages, failed service restoration, hours spent troubleshooting a problem I did not cause, and now five days without properly functioning service, Xfinity still expects me to simply pay my bill and wait. Even obtaining appropriate credits for the service I am not receiving has been unnecessarily difficult.

This is not an isolated incident. It is a consistent pattern. The reliability in my neighborhood is horrific, and I see very little evidence that Xfinity is seriously addressing the underlying infrastructure problem.

I am increasingly convinced that in areas where customers have few meaningful alternatives, there is simply not enough incentive for Xfinity to improve reliability or customer service. That may not be Xfinity's stated strategy, but from a customer's perspective, it certainly feels like the reality.

I pay a significant amount of money every month for these services. In return, I should receive reliable service, competent support, reasonable repair times, and fair credits when Xfinity fails to deliver what I am paying for.

The moment I have a viable alternative, I will leave Xfinity without hesitation. I am absolutely tired of paying premium prices while receiving unreliable service and being treated as though my time, inconvenience, and loyalty have no value.

Good Afternoon @user_rgraz2 , and thank you for reaching out. I’m truly sorry to hear about the repeated service interruptions, ongoing service issues, and the amount of time you've had to spend troubleshooting and seeking support. I can certainly understand your frustration, especially after years of loyalty and multiple instances where service was not properly restored following an area outage. We never want our customers to feel that their concerns, time, or business are not valued. I'd like the opportunity to review your account, the outage history, any recent technician visits, and the available options to address your concerns. Please send us a DM with your full first and last name and complete service address, and we'll be happy to investigate this further for you.
