Confusion over plan

I have been an Xfinity member since June 2023. I noticed this morning a sharp increase in rate from $49.00 to $99.77. When I investigated, I found that there had been a discount that had stopped this morning, and that lead me to review my past history. My confusion mostly is the Loyalty Discount. It apparently took off 50 dollars a month but ended May 18th. This kicked in after the Promotional Discount ended in May 26th 2025, which lines up with the 24 month nature of it. Has this ended for good?

In addition, I am confused about the pricing of my plan. My current plan is the 200 mbps for $74, but the internet (which is the only thing I need besides unlimited data) in my "cart" shows 99.00 dollars a month, which seems to match the removal of discounts noted above. However, when I look at the other plans, I see the 300 mbps is 70 dollars a month, which doesn't make sense to me that I'm paying more for a 100 less mbps. It may seem silly to make a big deal about a 4 dollar difference, but after being on this plan for several years, I'm confused why my plan, which only is only "200 Mbps Mbps", is more expensive than something that gives more mbps.

Overall it doesn't make much sense to me that I'm paying more for apparently a lower level of service, so it feels like I either should be compensated (which I am not necessarily asking for but feels like it should be), or something is wrong with the plan.

@user_v8da12, Hi there! Thank you for reaching out taking the time to break all of that down. I completely understand why this feels confusing, and you’re absolutely right to question it. Based on what you’re seeing, it does look like your previous discounts (both the promotional and loyalty discounts) have recently ended, which would explain the increase in your monthly rate. Those discounts are typically time-bound, so once they expire, the account reverts to standard pricing unless a new offer is applied. That said, I definitely hear your concern about the plan pricing, especially seeing a higher speed plan listed at a lower rate. That can happen because new promotions or pricing structures change over time, and sometimes newer plans are offered at better rates than older ones. What I’d really like to do is take a closer look at your account and available offers to see if we can get you into a plan that makes more sense for your needs and price point. In many cases, we can find an option that either lowers the cost, increases your speed for the same price, or both. If you’re open to it, we can review your account with you and walk through the best current options available so you’re not paying more than you need to. To get started, would you mind sending us a direct message with your first/last name and full address by clicking the "direct message" icon on the upper right page of the forum page? Once you click on that, click the "Start new conversation" (pencil and paper) icon. In the 'To:" line, input our shared handle "Xfinity Support" to send us a direct message.
