Conflicting Information Being Given on data overage.

So this month I exceeded the data allotment, when I check using the Xfinity app, it says your overage usage charge is $50 this month, BUT before I went over and still currently, when charting with the Xfinity assistant, it says don't worry you get one month where you get a courtesy to exceed the data cap. So which is?!

One part of the app is saying your overage is upto $50 extra, and then another things telling me to not worry because I have a courtesy month?

Good morning dece870717. Our data overage policy allows for 1.2 TB of data usage per month. If you exceed this limit, you'll receive a courtesy month where you won't be charged for exceeding the limit. After that, you'll be charged $10 for each additional 50 GB block of data, with a monthly maximum of $100.

 

We absolutely have an unlimited data option, I have my kids starting summer vacation soon, and I add on unlimited data during their summer break to avoid any overage hiccups. That gives them the freedom to download what they need, and me a peace of mind on usage.
